A Day At The Dog Beach
I went to the dog beach in Annapolis today. As I was walking along the beach with the dog, we came upon the coolest little inlet pool. To my pleasant surprise it was low tide, and I found a plethora of the coolest little snails. I am pretty sure they are Salt Marsh Periwinkles. I gathered them, brought them home, cleaned them, and I am poaching them as we speak. There were so many that I could have probably gathered 20-30 pounds of them. As always I took my Que from nature, and only took what I need. It’s amazing what you can find sometimes, if you just open your eyes.

They would be just like cockles, I imagine. Now if only we get nature to make a beer tree and a whiskey waterfall everything would be taken care of.
